Gonzo (Hector Gonzalez) recently built and raced some new hardbody cars. Here's some photos of his new Corvette C5-R: 138 grams, that's a very lightweight hardbody car. This car handles very well for such a lightweight. Also, Gonzo designed this chassis to accommodate either a TSR D3 or Falcon 7 motor - either motor rotation can be used with this chassis. Fully independent front wheels. Axle spins freely as well as both front wheels. Short tubing on each side supports front axle. Unique body mounting feature does not require mounting pins to secure the body to the chassis. Small copper wire wrapped thru square tubing provides strong support of each short pin tubing. The body side panels are flexed slightly to fit over the protruding body mounting pin tubes on each side. Hopefully, Gonzo will post some comments on his chassis design. Keith

yea keith ill comment. basically im trying to make the chassis it self as light as a hardbody will allow then add the weight where needed to make it handle.also very important is the body itself. the lighter the better but i think thats obvious.
