Yesterday at our monthly races we had a discussiom on the Hardbody Enduro.
The following info is provided, but the final rules/conditions for the enduro will be determined at our next monthly race on Sunday, March 16th.
I will be posting a separate topic on the Hardbody Enduro rules/race regulations soon. In the meantime, here are the Enduro topics discussed:
1. Hardbody Enduro will be held on Sunday, June 15th (our regular monthly race day).
2. A total of 8 teams (2 to 4 members per team) will be allowed in the enduro.
3. Each team will have a designated team leader. Among the race participants entered, A Team Leader will be determined according to the top 8 NASCAR racers (handicap rating. Those without handicap will use their scratch rating).
4. From among those who sign up for the enduro, a random drawing by each team leader will decide which racers are on each team. No team can have more than one scratch racer.
5. There are 8 model kits which are already selected to be used for the enduro. A random drawing by each team will determine which model kit they will use for the enduro. Each team will purchase their
model kit at BPR. The kits will be provided to BPR by the enduro committee. The price of the kit will be a fair market price.
6. The enduro will be 4 hours (15 min. heats with one minute between heats). All work on cars only during "green" light. No working on cars between heats except to change lane and lane sticker). Team drivers will rotate thruout the enduro.
7. The enduro will have a tech inspection (similar to our Nats tech inspection). The 80's-2014 NASCAR rules will be used. Only one car per team may be used for the enduro. Any damage during the Enduro must be repaired on the Green light.
8. There will be box plaques given to each enduro participant. There will be one Concours plaque (given to the body painter of the winning car). There will be two podiums. A regular podium for the Team with the most laps (without handicap) and a Handicap podium for the Team with the most laps including handicap laps. Each winning Team member will receive a plaque.
The type of podium plaque is yet to be determined (box metal plaque or wood plaque, depends on how much the entry fees will be).
The above discussion is not the final rules/regulations for the Enduro. We will decide the final terms of the Enduro at our March 16th monthly races.
The signups for the Enduro will be posted here (in a separate post on this webpage) and also will be taken at BPR at our next monthly race. Also, you can send me an email if you want to race in the Enduro (my email address: 1keithtanaka@gmail.com)
or you can post a private message to me using this webpage (refer to "Messages" at the top of the webpage to send me a message).
Any questions, comments?
