Tim, this year's Nats will have the same 6 races as last year's. The Group C/IMSA GTP's will "not" race in this year's Nats but will be part of next year's Nats. The enduro for next year will be for Group C/IMSA GTPs, probably in June.
The race lineup for the Nats will be:
Sat. Oct. 18th: All 3 of the NASCAR classes. First race on Saturday will be the '46-'56 Stock Cars, followed by the '57-'79 NASCARs and ending with the 80's-Present NASCARs.
Sun Oct. 19th: First race will be Trans Am, followed by Jalopy and ending with the 3 C's.
All 6 races will be on the MTT Flat track.
Start times and more details to follow, stay tuned.Keith

Is the new 3.1" width going to be legal for 80's to present nascars?? That's a proposed rule--but is it in for the Nats???

The 3.100" rule used for the recent 4 hour enduro will be allowed for the Nats. This rule allows the chassis width to be 3.100" rather than 3.000". This rule change was needed to accomodate the body width of the "slab" sided bodies (vertical side panels on newer Nascars) which typically measure 3.06 to 3.1" in width.
For those bodies which are not 3.100" wide, the chassis can be 3.100" wide as long as the side body panels do not go beyond vertical. I will update the 80's-Present NASCAR rules to allow the 3.100" chassis width.

Keith: On day 1 you say we will race all the NASCAR Classes. I know guys race the 1980s to current NASCAR cars and race the 1946 to 56 Stock Cars, but who and what are being raced for the 57 to 79 class? Also, the rules for 57 to 79 appear to be the same inline rules for the 46 to 56 class.

Mike, the '57 to '79 class is the old 36D motor class which was updated to also allow the Falcon and TSR motors. This was done because a lot of racers did not want to go through the difficulty of modifying the 36D to make it race ready, thus increasing the popularity of the class. These cars have much lower and lighter bodies than the '46 to '56 class.

Which bodies are examples? Not as easy to find those NASCAR models.

There are probably not any actual NASCAR models but the cars were not very different from the street cars in looks. Almost every full size care in those years was raced. Also there are a lot of decals for the actual cars on EBay, or you can just paint it and throw on some numbers (if you must). I have a Matador and will be building a '59 Chevy, I have built a Tornado Talladega, a '77 Chevy, and a couple of the MOPARS in the past. The choice is almost endless. The cars raced with full bumpers in most cases. Quite a few kits were released with racing decals.

Iv'e got a 1664 GTO that I'm going to race in that class!! There's LOT'S of kits of cars from 57 to 79!!! Just pick one and do a little google search and you'll find tons of paint scheme's etc if you want a scale look! Mine is not scale--but painted with #'s and decals to have a "Nascar" look from the period!! It IS basically the same chassis as the 46-56 class now with the addition of the TSR and Falcon motors for both class's!! But I built a 2nd car ---you COULD just swap bodies on one chassis and race both class's!!
