Here's a Slo Mo video clip of Team Blaupunks car on the yellow lane in the donut. At the 9 sec. mark the two left wheels lift slightly. Also, at the 33 sec. mark, the Hi Tech car on red deslots and becomes a rider just before Phil Nyland and Chuck Vaughn can grab the car as it goes into the black lane. It quickly launches at the donut turn apparently into a turn marshall as you hear him yell ("OW"!!!).
Once you start the video, you can set the resolution to 720p and also view the video full screen by selecting the rectangle icon in the lower right. After the full screen video ends, hit the "esc" key on your keyboard to return to this webpage. If you view the video full screen you'll probably notice that most cars going thru the donut lift the inside wheels slightly. Team Sloth's car on purple lane is bouncing quite a bit thru the donut as Hi Tech's car goes flying thru the donut and strikes a turn marshall.

Yeah--Gonzo and I "discuss" the weight of these cars all the time!! I say 175 to 195 grams seems to be a "sweet" spot for handling and driving most of our hard bodies!! Gonzo had built some under 150grams--and then stacked on the lead to get them up to weight to handle. I think the winning GTP car was over 200grams. Seems in slot racing at least on flat tracks--LEAD is your friend!!
