Tentative schedule for the Porsche Enduro is Sunday, April 30, 2017. 8 teams of 3 racers each. 4 hour enduro on the BPR flat track. Sign-ups begin January 2017. Rules for this new racing class will be posted soon. The enduro will be for Porsche 911, 934 hardtops, no targas or convertibles. Also, Porsche 911 GT1 is not allowed. Falcon 7 or TSR D3 motors. No motor/axle pods allowed (quick change motor/axle module). Keith

A clarification of the "Motor/Axle" pod ban: if the motor is replaced during the enduro, the motor must be replaced separately from the rear axle/gear/tire assembly. You can utilize a quick motor change setup "only" if the rear axle/gear/tire is not removed with the motor at the same time. The intent of this ruling is to not allow a quick change "rear assembly pod" as was used in our last enduro (Gonzo's car). This is not meant to discourage Gonzo from being creative, only to make the enduro more traditional as far as a motor change is concerned. Our enduro rule follows what was done at LeMans when Audi had a quick change rear assembly which gave them an advantage over the other teams as far as changing the transmission/suspension setup (motor changes not allowed at LeMans). This method was banned shortly thereafter since Audi could do the trans replacement in 4 minutes while it normally takes an hour or two using the traditional method which most teams used (other than Cadillac) . We're doing the same thing here with our enduro rules. By the way, we are considering a change in the enduro race rules as far as lane changes are concerned. We are "tentatively" considering a shorter lane change of 30 seconds (vs. one minute), but allowing teams to do minor work on their cars at the track where their cars stop during the lane change. "Minor" work allowed during lane changes would be: adjust braid, oil car, adjust spur gear, adjust body mount, check tire wear, motor comm wear. "Major" work (tire change, motor change, gear change, body repairs) must be done only during green light and must be done in the team's pit area or designated "pit stop" area (short straight before the donut). Any work done on the car during green light must first stop at the "designated pit stop area" before being removed from the track and returned to the track at the same designated pit stop area. During green light, you only can remove and return the car (unless the car stops completely) at the "designated pit stop area". Confused, comments? Keith

Here's another acceptable method to modify the front end of the Porsche 934 body. This method allows one to remove the bottom portion of the front end and replace it with a styrene piece to achieve the minimum front clearance (.015"). Looking forward to the Enduro!! It will be the first major racing I"ve done this YEAR!!! Too many things going on in LIFE to be racing!! But this one will be a barn burner!!
