The 9th D3 Hardbody Nats race was unusual as the racer turnout for Saturday was much lower than anticipated. Several of the regular Nats racers were unable to attend. The first race (3 C's) scheduled for Saturday was cancelled due to not enough entries to run a regular race.
The first race on Saturday started with the Short Track NASCAR race. It was a fast, fun race with a small field. The race was run over the 4 outer lanes first, then the 4 inner lanes.
Hector Gonzalez won this race with Phil Nyland 2nd and Tim Herrera 3rd. Craig Williamson won Concours.
The 80's-2019 NASCAR race was next and had two podiums. The regular podium had Jim Lane on top with Gonzo 2nd and Phil Nyland 3rd.
The "Racer Handicap" podium had Hector Gonzalez in first with Jim Lane 2nd and Keith Tanaka 3rd. Bob Ahulii won Concours.
Sunday's races started with the "Mixed" race.
Tim Herrera came in first with Phil Nyland 2nd and Keith Tanaka 3rd. Bruce Frye won Concours.
The final race of the Nats was for GTPs/Mid-Engine classes.
Again Jim Lane won with Marco Carvalho 2nd and Hector Gonzalez 3rd.
The "Racer Handicap" podium had Jeff Bell in first with Tim Herrera 2nd and Gonzo in 3rd.
Craig Williamson won Concours again.
Thanks to Debby and Jim Watterson (and Eddie) for their support of D3 Hardbody Racing at Buena Park Raceway.
Thanks to our race directors, Jim Lane, Tim Herrera, Hector Gonzalez and Keith Tanaka.
A special thank you to Jeff Bell, Ken Dylke, Phil Nyland for donating model kits for the raffle. Jeff was a race sponsor (Mixed race).
Also, Ken Dylke donated his vintage Hardbody Racing t-shirts for those who made the podium in any of the Nats races (podium finishers can get their t-shirts at our Enduro on Nov. 17th).

Our next D3 Hardbody race is the "2nd Chance Short Track NASCAR Enduro" at BPR on Sunday, Nov. 17th. BPR opens at 8 am, tech opens at 10 am, closes 10:30 am.
