Got to test the '56 ford today, went pretty good, much faster than the '55 Chevy. I added some lead to the front but it didn't seem to help much, will have to play with it some more. Now to paint it, can you say purple?

Purple. Not lavender. Why did the weight in the front not help much?

I am not sure but I think that with these motors the extra weight slows down the whole thing. I am still learning this stuff. It may still be better with the weight, easier to drive consistantly and keep it on the track, or maybe move the weight back some?

I tested the '56 on Sunday, along with my '55 Chrysler. The Ford chassis needs some mods, it is a bit hard to keep on the track consistently. I think I need to move the guide flag out further in front and play around with the weight. The good news is that my Chrysler is pretty good and easy to drive. The body on the Ford was a disaster, I had major tremor problems while doing it and it turned into a real glue bomb. You will not be seeing a finished picture here, too ugly.
