Once again I have been crazy building slot cars. Here are my two new ones, yet to be track tested. First is a '69 Ford Torino Talladega, no need to ID the driver. The next one is a Shelby Series 1 for the CCC's class. Now 3C's and an S?

Two nice looking cars, Craig. Who makes the Shelby Series 1 model? How does the body size compare with the Corvettes and Cobras we've been using in 3Cs?

It's a Revell 1/25 model. The wheel base is short at 3 3/4 like the Cobra but the sides are straight so you can get full 3/4" side pans in. I got the fronts out to 2 13/16 and the rear the same. I can get the rear to 2 7/8.

Got to BPR this morning for some testing, the track was totaly glued up from Thursday night. My '69 Ford was a little tight and tippy, typical for a narrow car, but it will probably be better on a properly preped track. The Shelby went really well, did a 6.0 on blue without pushing it much. I don't know if it's faster than my Gran Sport but time will tell. I couldn't do any tuning with the track like that.

I went to the track today, Sunday, and it is still pretty glued up. Got some practice in. Craig. Nice job on the cars. I am just finishing up a Trans Am car. A 70 Dodge Challenger. Will post when it is done.

To late. It has a black hood and it has a somewhat different orange, but it is orange. More of a metalic burnt orange.
