Ok, the Valvoline T-Bird proved to be pretty fast in the first full race for this chassis. Except for a slipping spur gear that cost me several laps, and my usual inconsistent driving, I would have had a handicap podium. I think this is going to be my NASCAR entry for now. I have to decide on my next build, either a new '46-'56 NASCAR or a '57-'79, both being inline chassis. I have the choice of three bodies for '57-'79, a Dan Gurney '77 Chevy, a Mark Donohue Matador, or a Richard Petty Torino.

OKAY---I'm going to RETRACT that statement above---because my latest build--A Grand National style Corvette--is my SMALLEST chassis to date---and has already gone 5.1's in practice on the flat track!!! That's the fastest hard body I have!!! VERY short wheelbase and guide lead---yet it's easy to drive and RIPS around the turns!!! So ---SIZE really doesn't matter---LITTLE cars can be quick too!! I'm hoping this will be the FIRST hard body into the 4 second barrier!!!! It weighs 185 grams!!
