I am going to try to build an Indy Car as a test for hardbody racing. Any thoughts or opinions?? I have a Domino's March kit and what I think are appropriate size tires. I thought I would make the wing mounts from brass to try to keep the wings on in a crash.

Craig, what year is your Indy car?
So far we haven't had any "open wheel" hardbody cars except for the slightly exposed Jalopy rear tires. We had talked about introducing an open wheel Jalopy class, but so far no takers although I do have a couple of these type cars (body kits).
The one concern about open wheel cars is the likelihood that the rear tires will cause some major car crashes, but since we haven't tried yet we don't know how the racing of these type cars will go.

Hi Keith, its a 1988 March 88C, the AMT kit. We won't even know if it's drivable until I get something built, probably start on it after the Nats. I want to build a new NASCAR chassis by then.

I have a bunch of Indy Cars that are from Japan. Some sort of white plastic. Not the weight of a hard body but still looks good and is more than a Lexan body. I will bring them to the track at the next race. Anyone that wants one all they have to do is ask. I want to see it when you are done though.

I also have a 1/32nd lexan Indy car on a Flexi like we run on Thursdays. Have to take about .125 off the sides of the frame then it fits right on Jim has the bodies at BPR
