Michael, the Checkpoint Cup is being held at BPR this weekend thru Sunday Jan. 12th. This is the biggest retro race of the year at BP. All of the pit spaces are already taken as there will probably be 70 or more racers participating. If you've never seen retro racing at BP, this would be a good one to see in person. Many of the top racers in the country including some of the best from Japan will be competing.
I'm going to BP today (noon to midafternoon) to see some of my old slotcar racing friends. I believe Craig and Roger might also be there today. I used to be very active with retro racing (D3) but have been doing hardbody racing exclusively for the last couple of years. Anyway, scratchbuilding (such as what we do with hardbody racing) is what retro racing is based on. It's rules are similar to those used in the 60's when scratchbuilding/racing started in SoCal.

So I take it that tomorrow is not a good day to practice. What races are being run tomorrow? Anything worth watching?
