Team Rolling Hills car sustained a motor failure during the race.
Here's a photo of the motor disassembled
One motor brush was completely gone, the other had no brush left and only part of the brush holder remained.
Tire wear: both tires measured about 1.005" at start of enduro, .965" after the enduro.
How did your car fare after the enduro?Keith

The Owners Team needed 2 motor changes. The 1st motor showed wear by heat 4 when the brakes became virtually non-existent. By about Heat 8 the change was absolutely necessary. The second motor lasted only about 3 or 4 Heats when it started to unwind. Well at least we finished with a strong motor. That was followed by a break in the chassis that required soldering, a body crack in 2 places requiring repair and finally a rear tire change. We estimate that the team lost about 250 laps while being off the track which is why the team did not make the Handicap Podium with the highest Handicap in the race. Not complaining, BUT!

[attachment id="41" thumbnail="1 A photo of Sloth Racing's motor teardown. It shows why we were running so slowly at the end of the race, the brushes are completely gone and the motor had been running on one of the BE copper springs for some time as it has a nice radius. I changed tires during the 15th heat due to a complaint from the race director but post race those tires have at least .025 clearance at the chassis rear. So it either wasn't us or it was a piece of bodywork that is no longer attached to the body as there is a small piece missing on the front end. My thumbnail needs to be clicked on to show the larger size. I think we got our moneys worth out of that TSR. Attachments:

We ran a TSR motor for a reason, after tearing down my TSR from the NASCAR endro and seeing how much brush material was left (25%+) it seamed prudent to stick with it. Those that chose the Falcon for speed paid the price in durability. So it was not just luck, thought went into my decision to run the TSR. We weren't that slow either, we started on the outside lanes the Punks started on the inside and after 8 heats when everyone had run each lane and before any motor drama occurred we were in the lead. We were competitive from the start, it wasn't all luck.

Here's a photo taken by Gonzo showing the brush wear on team "Cabin Fever's" enduro motor. One brush is worn completely and the other brush arm is totally gone. The brush wear is very similar to Team Rolling Hills enduro motor. Gonzo cleaned the end bell before taking this photo. Keith
