Here's a photo taken by Gonzo of his recently painted Corvair. The finish is a metallic gray. Gonzo's Corvair is eligible for the over 2 liter Trans Am class as a couple of Corvairs actually raced in this class in 1966. The Trans Am class from 1966 to 1970 was either under or over 2 liters. In 1971, these classes were changed to under or over 2.5 liters. At this time, I think Gonzo's Corvair will give the regular Tran Am cars a run for the checkered flag at our Nats in October. Keith

I don't think Gonzo intends to race the Corvair in the Nats, but the only Corvair to race in the original Trans Am series (in 1966) did not have flared fenders.
