2nd CHANCE D3 4 HR. GTP HARDBODY ENDURO RULES - (version 11/15/15)
Race rules for the D3 4 HR. GTP Hardbody Enduro on Sunday, Nov. 29, 2015.
These rules "may" be revised prior to the enduro if necessary. Any changes will be posted on the hardbody blog website.
1. Use NASCAR handicap system to determine "racer handicap" podium (in addition to the regular podium).
2. 2 races minimum required to establish handicap. If only two races, both must be within 10% of each other (lap totals).
3. Track opens at 9 am on enduro race day (race will end around 5:15 pm based on previous GTP Enduro in June)
4. Tech inspection to open at 11 am.
5. Tech to close at 11:30 am.
6. TECH INSPECTION (all enduro cars must meet GTP rules to pass tech inspection)
A. Chassis width: 3.250" max.
B. Tires to be within body (when viewed from above).
C. Minimum tire diameter at tech inspection: Front: .875" Rear: 1.000"
Any tires “replaced” during the enduro must be teched (1.000” dia. minimum) and marked prior to use during the
enduro. Penalty for using “unteched” tires: 100 laps.
D. Minimum track clearance: Front: .015" Rear: .050"
E. Motor: stock TSR D3 or Falcon 7 (no tampering). Any tampered motor used during enduro: DQ
F. Proper body (each team has already designated what body/livery they will use for the enduro) with windows included in
model kit, interior/driver.
NOTE: the windows included with each model kit must be used (side windows must be used as well as front/rear windows).
7. Concours judging: all enduro teams to have one vote each. Cannot vote for your own team car. Car receiving the most votes
wins Concours. For ties, a final vote between the tied entries will be held.
8. Photos to be taken of all enduro car entries and Concours
9. Photos to be taken of each enduro team as well as a group photo of all the enduro participants.
10. Race to start after photos are taken. Approx. race start time: 12:30 pm
11. ENDURO RACE RULES:
A. 4 hr enduro, 10 minute heats, 1 minute between heats.
B. No working on cars between heats. All work on cars to be done on "green" light only. Between heats only for changing
lane sticker and place car on next lane.
C. Team drivers must rotate in order. Each driver to run all 8 lanes (unless team has 4 drivers).
D. Each team must provide a turn marshall for each heat. You can have a non team member turn marshall for your team.
E. During the race, any car dragging on the track must be removed and repaired before returning to the race. If tires are too
small and causing chassis to touch the track surface, tires must be changed (green light only) with “teched” (1.000”
diameter min.) marked tires.
F. Motor, tire, gear changes are allowed (must use same type motor), but only on green light.
G. During the race, all cars must have all body parts intact (bumpers, windows, etc.). Broken/detached parts (bumpers,
body panels, windows, wings, spoilers) must be reattached (green light only) before continuing to race.
Small parts (mirrors, gas caps, wiper blades, etc.) do not need to be reattached.
H. Track calls allowed: under bridges, front straightaway (drivers panel area). "Rider" calls allowed, but incorrect rider or
track calls will be penalized. One lap penalty for any track/rider call not meeting the above requirement.
Penalties will be applied during heat.
12. Concours winner will receive a wood plaque and a metal box plaque.
13. Each driver of the winning team (regular and handicap podiums) will receive a wood
plaque and a metal box plaque. 2nd and 3rd place teams will receive a metal box plaque (for each driver).
14. All enduro race drivers will receive an enduro participant metal box plaque
15. Cost of enduro for each driver is $30. Teams with 4 drivers is $25 per driver.
Raffle prizes will be awarded prior to the start of the enduro. Prizes were donated by a well known slot racer who might come by to see the enduro.
