The Second Chance GTP 4 Hr. Enduro at BPR was another fun race with even more excitement/drama than the first Enduro in June. 7 Teams raced for the podium plaques with one team winning all of the wood plaques.
We had some new racers join in the fun. We welcome Jim Wiseman and Rick Linn to D3 Hardbody Racing and hope they race with us again soon.
Concours saw the Autobahn Racers team car win as the rest of the field was mostly worn out cars from the initial GTP Enduro in June. Victor Dubrowsky's nicely painted Porsche 962 won honors with a Bruce Frye interior. Congrats to both for their Concours winner.
The Enduro was filled with moments of excitement, fun, laughter, disappointment, frustration, but in the end, a fun day for all.
The Autobahn Racers (Victor Dubrowsky, Tom Schiavo, Tim Neja) had a field day as they won the regular and handicap podiums as well as Concours. Nice racing guys, next time give the other teams a chance (just kidding since the other teams are already planning to win the WRC Enduro in May 2016). There were some very fast, great handling cars in this enduro. Hector Gonzalez' new flat pan chassis car with several new features/tricks was very fast and handled great. Jim Lange's Hi Tech Racing car was also very fast and another great handling car. The winning car/team was quick and stayed out of trouble with no major problems.
Thanks to Debby and Jim Watterson (and Eddie) for their support of D3 Hardbody Racing at Buena Park Raceway.
Thanks to our race directors, Victor Dubrowsky, Hector Gonzalez and Keith Tanaka.
A very special thanks to Mike Steube for donating raffle prizes to this enduro. Mike also donated prizes for next year's WRC Enduro and our Nats next year.
Mike stopped by to see some of the Enduro. It was great to see him and chat awhile. We hope he visits again soon or better yet, join in the fun whenever he can.
