Sunday's D3 Hardbody Porsche Enduro was another fun race. A lot of close racing with teams running fast, then slow, then fast again. As with most enduros, this one I'm sure had some cases of bad luck, good luck or dumb luck. Here's your opportunity to give us your excuse(s) as to why your team did not win the enduro. I'll start first by stating that Team Rolling Hills was in a good position to win the Team Handicap podium going into the last heat of the race. Our team was only a lap behind the team handicap leader (New Man Crew) starting the final heat. With Gonzo on red and I'm on Orange, I thought for sure I could overcome the one lap deficit. As luck would have it, Gonzo definitely drove way over his head as he set a race best lap time on red with a 6.19 sec. lap. But he also did it for most of the heat as he punched the donut and went bananas on red trying to catch the regular race leader, Team GYSOT (ahead by 3 laps at start of final heat). As luck (or dumb luck) has it, I drove orange much slower than normal as Gonzo was going crazy on red as he ended up helping his team win both the regular and handicap podium driving a terrific final heat on red (he also accomplished a trifecta by also winning Concours!). Oh well, maybe next time? What's your excuse? Keith Team Rolling Hills

We were simply robbed by a TSR motor that we were counting on to not only last the entire race (which it did), but also not to slow down during the race. The motor slowed down to about 80% speed when I took over on Red lane, but we still had to go down to Black, and work our way up to Yellow, where we finished. We were sitting in a pretty good position to win, since we were just a few laps out of the lead at that point. But, hey, that's racing! Otherwise, no big issues. Our tires made it the whole race. Everyone drove well. Bob put together a few cars for our team, but we didn't get a chance to try them before Sunday. No complaints, third is good, for a team called Sloth! Eddie

We didn't have any problems with our TSR motor-- ran the whole race really well. Congrats to Gonzo's crew for getting a Falcon to do that!! Our car just wasn't as fast after the 5th heat when I was driving and I got ridered into the wall in turn one!! Broke the chassis and it was a tenth slower from then on through the race!! GREAT CAR built by Vic-- other than that we only had to change one set of tires the whole race!! Lost 8 laps because of the rider!! And I suppose a lot with the car not handling quite as well through the rest of the race!!
